Shipping Update

Great news everyone-- the YUMI books have been printed and are scheduled to be on a cargo ship and headed to California later this week. Estimated arrival at the port in Los Angeles is the end of the month. From there it gets a little cloudy, as COVID-related delays are still causing it to take a few weeks to get containers unloaded from the boats and to the destination warehouse; once they do hit the warehouse, they will then ship out via an LTL freight truck to our fulfillment center, and a few days later they'll be shipping to you. Yea!
With that in mind, we will be starting the final payment process shortly, so if you added anything to your order in Backerkit, those charges will hit your cards in the next few weeks (just an FYI).
Also, I dropped the ball on the Avatars, as Hoyt reminded me today. If you pledged at a level where you are owed a custom avatar, we will be in touch ASAP.

Survey + Printing Update

Hi all-- I just wanted to drop by and give you a quick update.
We are a little over the 80% response level on surveys, so we are locking counts and approving the files for print next week. With 20% of the surveys outstanding, we will be having to make a few assumptions on cover counts for print, so if you have not completed your Backerkit survey and selected your book cover, please do so now to guarantee you get your cover of choice.

You've already paid for your book(s) and shipping, but you will have the opportunity to add extra YUMI-goodies (books, metal cards, metal bookmarks, print sets) as well as other 12-Gauge graphic novels, and even THOMAS RIVER comics from our 1st campaign (limited quantities available).
Finally, the digital copy of YUMI: SPY FATALE, BADDIE ROYALE will be in your Backerkit download folder as soon as you complete your survey and do final checkout. We've also included the other digital rewards-- Hoyt's Sketchbook and a 12-Gauge Digital Comic Sampler. The Sampler includes SHERWOOD, TX #1, ANTI #1, a short story from THE RIDE: SOUTHERN GOTHIC, and THE RIDE: BURNING DESIRE #1.

Backerkit Survey's Coming This Week

Just a quick heads up-- our Backerkit Surveys are ready, and we are currently doing a mandatory "smoke" test with 5% of our backers (randomly chosen by Backerkit).
As soon as Backerkit gets enough responses to know everything is working, they will send the surveys out to everyone.
We are offering Add-Ons (the same ones from the Kickstarter, like Metal Cards, Metal Bookmarks, and Print Sets, as well as some of our blacklist trades and comics), so if there's something you wish you'd have ordered, you'll have a second chance when confirming your address and completing your survey.
Be on the lookout for your survey, and if you already have it, please complete it ASAP so we can get them out to the entire group sooner rather than later.
And as an FYI, there will be another update via Kickstarter as soon as they go live for everyone, just so you won't have to wonder if yours has been sent.

Post-Campaign Update

Whew. What a ride! Thank you all for coming along with us on this journey to make the YUMI graphic novel a reality. Now that we've had a chance to catch our breath, here's a little update.
We will be doing fulfillment through Backerkit, as they make the process run a little smoother when it comes to getting orders pulled and shipped. At the moment we are building out the surveys and will get those to you ASAP. For those of you asking, you will select your cover of choice when you confirm your delivery address through the survey. Your digital PDF copy of the book (as well as other digital rewards) will also be available for download at that time.
As far as printing goes, now that we have our order numbers we are going back out to a few printers to lock in final quotes, select our printer, and get the book into production.
